August 26th marked International Dog Day. So residents and staff at La Posada took the opportunity to cut loose and celebrate. The fun included an event that culminated in a pet parade and yappy hour! Residents, staff and their pooches had an amazing time showing off their fun and creative costumes to onlookers during the pet parade. At the end of the event, the fun concluded with a socially distant, mask required, outdoor yappy hour for anyone who wanted to attend.
La Posada’s chef made some amazing tasty treats (both human and dog varieties) to mark this paw-some occasion, and everyone got the chance to enjoy some refreshments and dancing and take in the lovely late summer evening.
It’s a common misconception that pets aren’t welcome at senior living communities, but at all Kisco senior living communities, pets are considered part of the family – and La Posada is no exception. Not to mention, the dogs of La Posada certainly aren’t ruffing it either! Just like their owners, they get to enjoy living in luxury at La Posada, surrounded by 22 acres of lakes, courtyards, and plenty of walking paths to explore.
