Wanting to celebrate the incredible women at the community for all their contributions and recognize the impact they’ve had and continue to have on the lives of others and the greater community, La Posada decided to host a celebratory ladies lunch high tea party on the terrace.

More than 75 of the women who call La Posada home gathered together to enjoy an elegant tea and sit-down ladies lunch on the community’s terrace. The dining team at La Posada whipped up a special menu for the event complete with dessert and, of course, plenty of tea and finger sandwiches!

The ladies of La Posada are women who have owned businesses, managed companies, raised families, and improved their communities, and they deserve to be recognized for all that they have accomplished.

Events like this high tea lunch are becoming more and more frequent again, with new community events and lifestyle activities signaling the beginning of a return to normal and getting residents buzzing. The wellness staff isn’t missing a beat either, focusing on developing new and unique programs and events designed to engage residents and improve their overall health and well-being.

Recent additions include unique activities such as cardio drumming and ever the social favorite, cornhole. Residents and staff also came together recently to join the fight against Alzheimer’s with an all-day NuStep challenge to raise money for their local Alzheimer’s Association chapter.

The Ladies Luncheon and Tea event is usually an annual affair, but it unfortunately had to be cancelled last year due to COVID-19 restrictions put in place. This year’s high tea celebration marked one of the first times in a long time that so many residents gathered together to socialize and enjoy one another’s company.
