In fact, this year, the community came together to set up a private lunch for two of the couples that live there, Mr. and Mrs. Hutchins and Mr. and Mrs. Fischer, who have both been together for an incredible 66 years.
The idea for the private lunch came about when a few of the associates discussed ways to honor these two couples, who have been together for over six decades. They got together and came up with a plan to set up a private celebration for the two couples, complete with a beautiful table setting and a delicious, chef-prepared meal.
In addition to the private lunch for Mr. and Mrs. Hutchins and Mr. and Mrs. Fischer, the community at La Posada also came together to create beautiful family trees in honor of the couples.
